Whether you're a new parent navigating the early weeks with your baby, an athlete dealing with a recurring injury, someone who's been quietly putting up with pain for longer than they should, or a grandparent who just wants to get back on the floor with their grandkids, you're in the right place!

At Rigby Osteopathy, care isn't one-size-fits-all. It's gentle, hands-on, and built around you, where you are, what you're feeling, and what you want your life to look like on the other side of it.

A space dedicated to helping families move better, feel better, and live well.

Rooted in Care. Focused on You.

Rigby Osteopathy is dedicated to helping Charlotte and Washington County move better, feel better, and live well. As your trusted source for gentle, hands-on osteopathic care, the goal here is simple: help you find relief from chronic pain, from acute injury, from the everyday discomforts that quietly chip away at your quality of life, so you can live a healthier, more connected life. Every treatment begins with one question: what's actually causing this? Not just where it hurts, but why. Because when you treat the root cause, the results last.

You Might Be Wondering If This Is for You

Osteopathic care at Rigby is for anyone who feels like something isn't quite right, even if you can't put your finger on exactly what that is. You don't need a referral, a diagnosis, or a dramatic injury to walk through the door. You just need a concern and a willingness to see what's possible.

Here are some of the things patients come in for:

- Back pain: low, mid, or upper, that's been hanging around longer than it should - An athlete dealing with pain during training, a swollen joint, or a recovery that's taking too long - A baby who isn't sleeping, is struggling to latch, or seems uncomfortable and unsettled - Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet that makes everyday tasks harder than they used to be - A senior who wants to walk with confidence, stay independent, and keep doing the things that matter to them - Pregnancy discomforts: swelling, pelvic pain, rib tightness, or just a body that needs support through a season of enormous change - Digestive complaints: bloating, constipation, reflux, that flare up regularly and never quite resolve - A child with headaches, poor posture, recurring illness, or a sports injury that won't heal - Poor sleep that leaves you exhausted no matter how many hours you get - Postpartum recovery, including the physical toll of feeding, carrying, and healing all at once - Swollen joints or pain that's quietly limiting what you can do at work, at home, or in your favourite activities - Hormonal concerns: irregular cycles, endometriosis, PCOS, thyroid function, or the physical effects of chronic stress - The cumulative strain of shift work, a physically demanding job, or years of pushing through discomfort - A senior managing a chronic condition who wants more comfort, more ease, and more good days - And everything in between If something on that list sounds familiar, there's a good chance osteopathy

What Makes Osteopathy Different

Osteopathy is a hands-on manual therapy, no machines, no needles, no one-size-fits-all protocols. Every session is guided by what your body is presenting with that day, and every treatment plan is built around your individual goals. A few things that set this approach apart:

  • Osteopathic techniques use light, careful touch to find and release restrictions in your body's tissues. Many patients are surprised by how gentle the work is, and how much of a difference that gentleness makes.

  • Where it hurts isn't always where the problem is. Osteopathy looks at the whole picture. How your body moves, where tension is being held, and what might be contributing to your symptoms from somewhere unexpected

  • Your body works as one connected unit. Treatment reflects that, addressing not just the complaint you came in with, but the patterns and restrictions that may be feeding it.

  • Your body has a remarkable ability to heal itself. The role of osteopathic care is simply to remove the things standing in the way of that, and then let nature do the rest.

Care for Every Stage of Life

What to Expect

Your first appointment is 45 minutes, time enough to have a real conversation, do a thorough assessment, and begin treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Care at Rigby Osteopathy typically involves weekly sessions over four to six weeks, followed by a reassessment to determine next steps and work toward discharge. The goal is never to keep you coming indefinitely, it's to get your body to a place where it can manage on its own, recover more quickly when disruptions happen, and simply feel better day to day. When you're doing well and something acute comes up down the road, (a new injury, a flare) the door is always open for targeted care to get you back on track.
